Youth Engagement
JCAA | JAMAICAN CANADIAN ASSOCIATION ALBERTA
Youth are an important segment of our population. They are the fastest-growing demographic group, and they are often drivers of growth and innovation. The voices of youth are often missing in JCAA’s planning processes, so our Youth Engagement Strategy aims to bring more youth voices into conversations by:
- Understanding how to engage youth;
- Creating a framework that will mobilize youth to become involved and active on future planning initiatives
Development of Youth Engagement Strategy
The Youth Engagement Strategy will be a plan made for youth by youth.
It is our intention to connect with youth to understand what issues matter most to them, when and how to involve youth in conversations and how to build youth understanding and engagement.

Jamaican Community: Our goal is to focus on delivering optimal programs to groups that need support within the community.
The JCAA is always looking for volunteers to assist in delivering programs, services and events to the community. Would you like to help? Complete the Volunteer Application Form and we’ll gladly be in touch.
We continue to support numerous activities taken in the community as part of the Caribbean Community Council (CCC) as the hosts of community events such as Carifest and the Caribbean Heritage Sports Council (CHSC) Sports Day.
The JCAA is also involved in supporting other major cultural festivals including Globalfest and Reggaefest.
