The JCAA Building has become a beacon of activity in Calgary, offering expanded services, increased stability and deepened community trust. Acquiring our own building marked a major milestone for community empowerment, stability and growth. This permanent home provides a dedicated space for cultural preservation, fostering connections and expanding support services for the Jamaican and Caribbean community in Alberta.

Owning our own building has allowed for the expansion of programs and community initiatives and represents a foundation for future generations to connect, celebrate and thrive.

With dedicated rooms, this 5555 sq. ft space includes on the lower level, an industrial kitchen, multipurpose hall and spacious bathrooms and on the upper level, a state-of-the-art conference room, library and resource centre, as well as an administrative office. The property features a stairlift for easy access to the upper level.

The permanent location provides a home away from home for the community and emphasized that the organization was committed for the long haul. We are now able to push on our missions and live up to our mantra of “Being More, Doing More”.
